Message from the Principal

March 26, 2014

Dear Dimond Staff, Students, Parents and Community Members,

After thirteen joyously rewarding years at Dimond High School, I will be retiring on June 20, 2014.  I will deeply miss the work and people I love and care about, especially the energy, integrity, and dedication that resonate in every aspect of Dimond’s programs. But it is time.

I believe that the accomplishments that I am most proud of as Dimond’s Principal will continue unabated.  Dimond’s staff, students, parents and community members are doers.  They look at what is and think about how to make it even better.  In today’s climate of change, they consider options, reflect on priorities and maintain students’ needs as our highest priority.  Dimond’s success is sustainable.

The search for Dimond’s next principal has begun.  I invite you all to complete the ASD survey regarding the qualities you want in your next principal.  The survey and the memo explaining the process are attached here.   The deadline for submitting your survey is Friday, April 4.

You are invited to meet the new principal at an Open House on April 29 at Dimond High School.  Thank you for your generous support throughout my years.  I know the next principal will experience the same gracious professionalism.

Most Sincerely,

Cheryl M. Guyett
